Our Winemaker
Growing up as a first generation Italian-American kid wine was a big part of my life. It was on every dinner table. Whether it was a holiday, some sort of celebration or one of our traditional Sunday dinners, wine was a part of the gathering.
My family were farmers in Italy. For generations they harvested grapes and produced wine on their farmland. They brought their love and tradition of winemaking to America with them. It became something my father and I bonded over and shared a deep love for.
As I became more involved in the process, my passion for winemaking grew and my desire to create a life around it became more profound. My wife saw this and decided to buy me a book on our first Christmas together. That book became like my Bible. I read it from cover to cover and carried it with me everywhere. I still have it, all weathered and frayed…Jeffrey Cox’s ‘From Vines To Wines’.
At this point I was in the thick of life, deep into my career. I thought I can’t just give up and walk away now. As time passed I kept telling myself that. Then one day I decided I would start slowly. I would buy my own equipment, purchase some grapes and see where it goes.
For years I worked to make as much wine as possible in a small shared space until I had enough for my own tasting room. During this time we developed a following and our journey was off to an amazing start. They loved our wines and everything about us.
Then in August of 2020 the dream became a reality. We found our home. We signed a lease, said goodbye to our old lives and brought Insieme Wines to life.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. I welcome you to our family and I look forward to sharing many glasses of wine Together.
Cheers!
